Volunteer Christine recently met with Shawna Strathy, who leads the Ottawa-Gatineau chapter of Days For Girls, to accept an amazing 75 personal care kits destined for the villages in Marangu West, Tanzania. The kits were sewn and assembled by local women around Ottawa and women in a Hutterite community. These kits will allow girls and women menstrual empowerment, and in particular will permit the girls to avoid missing school days during their periods. ABCD is very grateful to the wonderful organization, Days For Girls!
