Dativa Salvastory Malyawere
12 years old

Dativa is a very friendly girl and her birthday is July 12, 1998. Dativa dreams of becoming a secondary school teacher one day.

Dativa lives with her mom Delivina and her brother Paul, who is 11. The family home is a stick and mud dwelling with dirt floor and no plumbing. Dativa attends Kilaremo Primary School and is in Grade 7. Last year she missed 9 days of school and her school reports gave her average marks of mostly C’s, but she did earn 80% in Kiswahili, the local language.

Dativa loves to dance and performed with other children at the ABCD annual Art Day. For her Canadian supporters Dativa drew very colourful drawings of a bug, a butterfly, a flower and a flag.
