Josephine Alois Lyimo
14 years old

Josephine is a pensive and happy girl, and her dream is now to become a nurse. Her parents have died and Josephine and her brother Respice (15) live with the family of her cousin Gabriel, a child also in the ABCD: Art Building Children’s Dreams program.

Josephine is now attending Lombeta Secondary School as a residential student in Form 2. She is doing very well standing at 45 out of 213 students in her form last year! For this she received a book award at ABCD’s Art Day Award Ceremony.

Josephine’s drawings are full of details and visual information showing her engagement with art activity. Her favourite school subjects are Chemistry and English and the English comfort level shows in her use of the language on her drawings.
