Josphat Mwangi Simon
16 years old
Josphat is an affable boy, and he is an orphan. Josphat’s dream is to be a secondary school teacher one day.
He is living with his disabled grandfather, Godfrey (71) and his wife who are are trying to make a home for Josphat, and little Monica (also an ABCD child). Also living with Godfrey and his wife are two adult daughters so school expenses are very difficult for this family.
Josphat is attending Lombeta Secondary School where he is in Form 3. In Form 2 he did very well standing at 44 out of 203 students in his Form! He received a book award at the ABCD Art Award Ceremony. Josphat leaves the house for school at 6 am and his school report makes a point of saying that he is very punctual. His favourite subject is now English which shows in conversation with him.
Josphat draws very lively and large drawings full of strong line.
