Oskar Alois Mtuy (Timoteo Kitaly)

Oskar is a very smart boy who dreams of becoming a bus driver one day. Oskar is living with his mother Aloisia and his older sister and older brothers, one of whom is Emanuel who is also in the ABCD: Art Building Children’s Dreams program. Mom and the older brothers still earn some income from carrying banana beer to the local bars.

Oskar is attending Kitowo Primary School in Grade 4. Oskar was absent from school last year for only 2 days and his school reports that the stood at FIRST in his class of 31! His favourite subject is art and he was thrilled to receive an art kit as an award at the ABCD Art Day Awards ceremony.

For his Canadian supporters, Oskar drew delicate line drawings of houses, birds, a daladala and a car.
