Respice Alois Lyimo
15 years old
Respice is a gentle boy. His parents are deceased and Respice and his sister Josephine live with the family of Gabriel, a child also in the ABCD program. Respice is ill but he is receiving medication for his condition.
He is now attending Ngaruma Vocational Training Centre for his second year where he is enrolled in the masonry program and following his dream of becoming a fundi (builder). Despite his condition and consequent 21 days of absence, Respice earned an ‘average’ report rating with 75% in his practical classes. He looked happy with his classmates when we visited him in school.
Respice drew colourful pictures of houses, birds, trees and flags for his Canadian supporters.
