Richardi Thomasi Mbuya
17 years old

Richardi is a growing boy who dreams of becoming a doctor one day. His birthday is June 30, 1994. The family lives in a small stick and mud hut with their animals; a cow, goats and chickens. ABCD is supporting four of Richardi’s siblings in this very poor family.

Richardi is attending Lombeta Secondary School in Form 3 and due to the distance to the school from his house he is a residential student. Richardi made great improvements in his academic progress. He stood at 38 out of 307 students last year in Form 2! His favourite subjects are math and physics and his report says that he is always ‘clean and smart’.

Richard was given an art kit as an award at the ABCD Art Day Awards ceremony. His drawings are always full of detail and controlled line work.
