Veronica Thomasi Mbuya
7 years old

Veronica is a sweet little girl who dreams of becoming a nurse one day. The family lives in a small stick and mud hut with their animals; a cow, goats and chickens. ABCD is supporting four of Veronica’s older siblings in this very poor family.

Veronica is now in Grade 2 at Kilema Primary School. Her teacher reported that her marks last year were good, her behaviour was good and her progress was good. She stood at 13 out of 40 students in Grade 1 and earned 80% in science and 84% in Kiswahili (language)!

Veronica loves to draw and she has drawn many little pictures of birds, fruit, people, vehicles and flowers!
