Yudatade John Lyimo
17 years old

Yudatade is a serious boy who dreams of becoming a teacher one day. His birthday is May 17, 1994.

This is a poor family. The father died in 2003 and now the mom and children have no house of their own and are living in the house of a neighbour and earning a little by selling bananas. The mom Teresia, is finding it a hardship to pay for the children’s school fees.

Yudatade is attending Kisuluni Secondary School in Form 3 and the school told us that he is still struggling academically. He stood at 108 out of 120 students last year in Form 2. The school is arranging remedial help for him.

Yudatade enjoyed participating in the ABCD solar light workshop. Yudatade’s drawings are very light but very detailed and thoughtful.
